The successful development of this 42-ton excavator indicates that Sany has fully developed and manufactured the large-tonnage crawler-type full hydraulic excavator.

As early as January 2005, Sany made a project for the SEC408 crawler-type full hydraulic excavator, and formulated a more urgent development plan for the market situation. In the case of tight time, high requirements and arduous tasks, the project team completed the whole process from the project investigation to the construction drawing design review in only 5 months, and put into trial production as scheduled in June.

In the prototype stage of the prototype, faced with the difficulties of self-made tooling, lack of materials, scattered production sites, and untimely supply of purchased parts for large structural parts such as rotary platforms and working devices, the project team carried forward the style of “slowness and revenge”. If you don't rely on it, take the initiative to make countermeasures and coordinate with the relevant departments; in the hot weather in July, the project team will work overtime to overcome the difficulties and ensure that the prototype will go offline as scheduled.

The large-scale structural parts such as the slewing platform and working device of the SEC408 excavator are self-made, which greatly reduces the manufacturing cost and provides valuable experience and technical preparation for the self-made of other large excavator structural parts. At present, the SEC408 excavator market has a large demand and the price is about 1.8 million yuan. The successful trial production of this product has become another highlight of the profit growth of Sany Excavator.

It is understood that in order to enrich the company's excavator product line, to adapt to market demand. Since the end of last year, the company has successively launched excavators of 6 tons, 13 tons, 31 tons and so on. At the same time, it has launched different operations of 20 tons, 21 tons and 22 tons of 3 tons for different market requirements. The series of models of the system, the tire excavator will also be put into mass production.

At present, the sales of excavators have been expanded overseas, and the supply of export machines is in short supply. Four SY220C1s that have just been off the assembly line have been sent to Morocco. It is expected that more than 10 excavators will be exported in August.
